Last month we had someone come to our house and offer us an Auto Service Program for Simmons Automotive. Â We were new to the area and needed to find a place to take our vehicles so I went ahead and purchased two in hopes that it would be a good deal.A couple of weeks ago, my husband took his Ford Ranger in to get an oil change and also we wanted them to take a look at one of the wheel bearings (note that everyone we talked to thought it was an issue with the wheel bearing). Â The oil change was free as part of the Auto Service Program that we purchased. Â They took a look a the wheel bearing and determined that they needed to be re-packed. Â After calling to get authorization from our extended warranty, it was determined that it wasn't covered. Â Knowing that we needed to get it repaired, we authorized the repairs.Apparently after re-packing the bearing they took it for a test drive and the wheels were still doing the same thing. Â They greased the rest of the bearings and again nothing changed with the symptoms. Â It was determined that the tires were cupping which was causing the uneven ride. Â They ultimately rotated the tires and gave my husband a call. Â The best part of this is that after doing all that work, they were honest enough to let us know that since they mis-diagnosed the issue all of the repairs would be free of charge. Â Obviously we were elated and couldn't believe it. Â We would have never known the difference and it makes us feel better that we can take our vehicles in without fear of getting ripped off.In addition, my husband was very complimentary about the staff and their friendliness. Â After dropping off the car before any of the above happened, he called me to tell me "Honey, you are going to really like this place. Â They are so friendly." Â Coming from him, I knew it had to be a great place to make that impression on him. Â Thanks Simmons for great service and the honesty that you showed in dealing with our vehicle. Â We will be coming back soon to bring my car in and will be planning on using Simmons for any future repairs.
